The Michigan Academic Library Association (MiALA) is the professional association of academic library staff & libraries and the professional home for anyone who works in or wishes to show support for academic libraries in Michigan.

As a MiALA Member, you will be a part of a large network of academic librarians, staff members, and library students. All members are provided with opportunities for professional development; leadership and service work on our many committees, interest groups, and sections; access to and participation in our annual conference, mini-conferences, and social gatherings; and a chance to develop and grow a network of colleagues and mentors from across the state of Michigan.

MiALA strives to advance academic librarianship, libraries, and services, serving as a catalyst for statewide collaboration, and as a bridge to national academic library interests. If you are interested in scholarship and service, meeting and collaborating with other academic library faculty and staff, and supporting the advancement of academic libraries and librarianship, then MiALA is for you!
