Annual Conference Swag Swap Guidelines

The Outreach Interest Group will be hosting a "swag swap" during the poster session/Information Fair at the MiALA Annual Conference! 

Do you and/or your library/institution have awesome promotional items (swag)?
Do you have post-it notes, pens, other goodies that you'd love to share and swap with others?
Do you have a collection of freebies and feel like pruning and reinvigorating your stash?
Do you just like "swag" and have access to someone who can provide you with some to throw on a table and get some goodies back?
 
Starting in the registration area, there will be a table where you can drop off your swag and swap for new items. The Outreach Interest Group will host the swag swap at Information Table # 9 during the Poster Session/Information Fair on Monday from 3:45 - 5:00. The swap will be back in the registration area after the Information Fair until the membership meeting lunch on Tuesday.
 
Guidelines are simple:
  • Put together some promotional swag to bring to the conference.
  • Drop it off at the swag table sometime during the conference (preferably before the information fair).
  • Stop by throughout the conference to pick up something that you might find useful.
  • Business cards do not count as swag.
  • Examples of swag: Post-it notes, pens, pads, key chains, mirrors, sewing kits, breath mints, change purses, coffee mugs... stuff like that.
  • Paper items like newsletters, annual reports, and other promotional items that you would like to share are welcome as well!
  • Be mindful of space (please do not bring hundreds of items to giveaway)
  • Leftover items will be donated to a local charity"
