President's Message

Kate Langan

Hi all,
I hope your semester is off to manageable start. The next few months promise some exciting opportunities to engage with our partners MAME and MLA for Michigan Library Advocacy Day. I am also already excited about our annual conference hosted by Hope College.
I want to give a shout out to our colleagues who hosted the Information Literacy Assessment IG on Dec. 15. It was an hour well spent with colleagues who shared best practices, tools, and uses of various assessment tools, such as this rubric from GVSU and ACRL Project Outcome. I have found IG's to be inspiring and am so grateful to contact with my colleagues across the state. If you don't see an IG that suits your needs, you can always create one. You can find all the details on IGs here.
Here's to a safe and healthy start to the new year.
Kate
